June 8^th, 2015, 9am California time

Just boarded a plane from San Francisco to Honolulu!  Huge cabin.  I’m here with fellow interns Shanthi, Lucas, Samantha, and Cole, videographer Kelsey, Rick of the Explorers’ Club, and grad student and overseer of the youth project, Sara Cannon.  Marine biologists Peter and Michelle are… somewhere on this flight, too.  Marine biologist Nicole Crane (spearheader of One People One Reef) and her family (husband and UCSC fish biologist Giacomo, and their two kids, Amalia and Alessio) are in Hawaii now, and will meet us in Guam, as will marine biologist Avigdor.
